Stainless steel scissiors are of high
precision cutting instruments are manufactured
to the highest specifications and can
be autoclaved many time before any signs
of corrosion are visible. While it is
usually possible to find lower cost
scissors from other sources, they will
never cut as "clean" (e.g.
free from distortion) as the SPI scissors.

The Needles are
available in Regular and Spring Eye
and with different type of points.
These are hardened and tempered to
a controlled hardness of VPN* 525
to 625 which ensures flexiblility
while eliminationg brittleness during
suturing. The points are individually
hand honed ensuring the highest standards
of sharpness of the point. The surface
finishing is done by mechanical and
electro-polishing thereby minimising
micro-asperities and reducing tissue
drag during suturing operations.
